Parex LPD 325 Tablets are a multi-symptom relief formula designed to alleviate cold, allergy, and flu symptoms effectively. Each tablet contains a scientifically balanced combination of:

  • Paracetamol 325 mg – Provides fast-acting pain relief and fever reduction.
  • Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride 5 mg – A potent antihistamine that relieves sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes.
  • Dextromethorphan HBr 5 mg – Suppresses dry, irritating cough by acting on the brain’s cough center.
  • Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 5 mg – A nasal decongestant that eases blocked sinuses and improves airflow.
  • Caffeine (Anhydrous) 30 mg – Enhances the pain-relieving effect of paracetamol and reduces drowsiness.

Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics

  • Paracetamol: Quickly absorbed; metabolized in the liver with analgesic and antipyretic action.
  • Levocetirizine: Rapidly absorbed; blocks histamine H1 receptors, easing allergy symptoms.
  • Dextromethorphan: Centrally suppresses the cough reflex through action on the medulla.
  • Phenylephrine: Acts on alpha-adrenergic receptors to relieve nasal congestion.
  • Caffeine: Stimulates the central nervous system and enhances the effect of paracetamol.

Dosage Information

  • Adults: 1 tablet every 6–8 hours as needed.
  • Maximum Daily Dose: Do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours.

Contraindications

  • Known hypersensitivity to any component.
  • Severe hepatic or renal impairment.
